That’s about to change.

Sound Boss lets you hear all of the sounds around you without taking off your headphones or stopping your music. You can keep the soundtrack going and never miss a phone call, a knock at the door, or the voice of a friend or colleague.

Sound Boss uses your iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad’s microphone to pick up the sounds around you, employing sophisticated audio processing techniques to deliver those sounds to your ears with clarity while keeping your music firmly in the foreground.

* Your own personal soundtrack isn’t limited to just music, so Sound Boss is designed to play nice with all types of apps that generate sound, including music players, movie players, games, and audiobooks.

* Your experience will usually be the best when using headphones that have their own built-in microphone. If your headphones don’t have a microphone, then Sound Boss can use the one built into your iPhone, iPad, or 4th-generation iPod Touch. Owners of 3rd-generation iPod Touch will need to use headphones that have a built-in microphone, as the 3rd-generation iPod Touch doesn’t have a microphone of its own.

* The use of Bluetooth wireless headphones is not supported with Sound Boss.
